general, sólo teniendo en mente concepto y técnica y permitiendo al diseño
surgir espontáneamente” Hilde busca la simplicidad en sus
composiciones y elección de colores, prefiriendo los naturales en
combinaciones de gran contraste. Sus creaciones están influenciadas por su
bagaje multicultural y sus viajes. Trata de representar la realidad
simplificándola o sugiriéndla en diseños abstractos o primitivos. Enseña regularmente en Portland ,
promoviendo la combinación de la
libertad en las formas con el empleo de técnicas tradicionales en el armado
de tapices contemporánesos. Dirige talleres de diseño de
superficie en Córdoba, Argentina en CIART (Centro Integral de Arte Textil y
en organizaciones de caridad. Nació en Caracas, Venezuela en
1956. De ascendencia belga, reside actualmente en Pórtland, Oregon (USA) con
su esposo y sus dos hijos. "In
each project I work toward a general goal, only having a broad concept and
technique in mind and allowing the design to evolve spontaneously." Hilde looks
for simplicity and balance in her compositions and color choices preferring
natural colors in high contrasting combinations. Her creations are influenced
by her multi-cultural background and travels. She tries
to represent the reality by simplifying or suggesting it through either
abstract or primitive designs. She teaches
