JORGE
creates on the bases of certain patterns that are, in fact, unitary geometric
expressions and, as segmental ones; they combine to be a whole thing. All these
kinds of manifestations are analyzed by the Great Masters of mankind. According
to my view of Arts, there is no point in imitating nature since nobody can
create in a better way as she does. However, we are capable of doing so by
taking these elementary forms as a reference. In any case, Photography has
the power to stop the time in a snapshot and to serve as the very witness of
this image in the future. After working
as an architect for twenty five years, I included sculptural expressions in
my works whenever possible, trying to transcend the illusory conceptual
confrontation between both disciplines to reach a whole. I have
experienced on different ways materials and styles but finally adopted stone
carving from the Sacred Geometry. So, I combine metallic elements not simply
to add but to complete or enrich the idea that I want to transmit. A line
rotating in space or a geometric body just moving there are forms that can
acquire volume, however, all these conditions are not enough be considered a
“sculpture”. For the
volume to be harmonic, it must be based on a generatrix concept which should
support it. In order to be seen as
sculptural art, it must be the creation of something new emerging from the
silent and inner feelings of the artist as its own, genuine, spiritual and
transcendental expression should be a significant reflection of the emotions
of the artist himself. For the more he
can transmit and incite this into the observer, the better. Jorge

Sculpture. He works on the bases of Sacred Geometry to compose harmonic
shapes with different kinds of materials but preferably stone combined with
